What we don’t do
If you are a learner and you want information about how your previous learning can be recognised and accredited, we would suggest you start by talking to the Admissions Office at the university or college to which you want to apply.
SEEC does not hold any responsibility for this sort of personalised advice, and it is is not in a position to enquire for you, or to broker a meeting, even with its member institutions.
You might find a general answer in the FAQs on our Academic Credit page, or in our general information about APEL (accreditation of previous experiential learning), or you can look at SEEC members’ websites for practical APL/APEL guides and advice.
Specific enquiries about HEIs
Often we receive enquiries seeking advice from a member of the public hoping to gain access to an HEI, an employer seeking advice on a learner’s achievement, or a professional body wishing to make links with an educational institution. If the HEI is a SEEC member, we can pass the enquiry to the appropriate contacts, so that it can be taken up more appropriately.
Validation and credit rating
SEEC is not an awarding organisation or agency in its own right, and so cannot validate courses, nor does it offer an independent credit rating service.
