Networking and sharing good practice for staff from member institutions

The SEEC Network Groups provide opportunities for individuals working on credit-based programmes, courses and developments in member institutions to meet on a regular basis to discuss issues of practice, to increase their knowledge in the field, and to feed this back into their own institutions. They also have JISC groups for online information and discussions. Find out more...

  • APL: The recognition and accreditation of prior or previous learning

The recognition of prior learning (RPL) and its assessment (APL) offers important challenges to institutions in the context of Higher Education, and specifically to staff charged with the responsibility to develop, implement and assure the quality of APL arrangements.  SEEC's AP(E)L Network Group, established in 1992, is an important forum for the sharing and further development of APL practice, including for the assessment and accreditation of previous experiential learning (APEL). Go to the Online Discussion Groups section to access the JISC SEECAPL group.

  • Recognising Learning Through Work

The Work Related Learning and Foundation Degree groups have now been amalgamated to form the Recognising Learning Through Work group. Go to the Online Discussion Groups section to access the JISC SEECRLTW group.
