Making Sense of Credit & Qualification Frameworks
The UK Credit Forum has published their "history of credit" book, a fascinating overview of how and why credit frameworks have evolved in the UK and European education systems over the last few decades. Written by members of the UKCF, including two colleagues from SEEC, and other credit experts, and edited by Paul Bridges (University of Derby) and Mark Flinn (Edge Hill) the chapters uncover the historical, professional and political positions that academic credit has taken, from the early origins in USA, via Dublin and Bologna, to the latest version of an "all-through" credit framework for England. A flyer with full details, including chapter titles, can be downloaded below.
A copy costs £25, and can be purchased using a credit card through the University of Derby website https://unishop.derby.ac.uk with £4 postage. The book can be located in the product catalogue under the heading "executive".
SEEC members enjoy a £5 discount. Cheque and cash purchases can be made through Paul Bridges p.h.bridges@derby.ac.uk
