There are 2 NUCCAT events coming up over the next few months:
A Practical Guide to the Key Information Set (KIS)
Date: Thursday 16th February 2012
Time: 10.30am-3.30pm
Venue: Aston Business School, Birmingham
Facilitators:
Richard Puttock & Louisa Baker, Higher Education Funding Council for England; Robin Dutton, Director of Quality Systems, University College Birmingham; Catherine Benfield, Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
Seminar aims:
Early 2012 will be especially busy for UK HEIs as they prepare for the September launch of Key Information Sets for all undergraduate degree programmes. While detailed technical guidance is now available from HEFCE many practical questions remain, particularly in relation to how programme-level data on teaching, learning and assessment will be collected and processed within institutions. This workshop will take a practical approach to the implementation of the Key Information Set, drawing on the experience of a KIS pilot institution (University College Birmingham) and providing opportunities for delegates to discuss common issues as well as share current experience and emerging good practice.
Representatives from HEFCE and HESA will also be in attendance to answer questions about first year implementation and clarify any points arising from the technical guidance.
Booking details:
£70 for staff of NUCCAT (and SEEC) Member Institutions
£95 for other attendees
